Kathryn (Katie) Hummer
President

Katie Hummer is a licensed managing real estate broker in Colorado and the Founder and President of Kin Commercial. Ms. Hummer’s professional expertise is in buying and selling land, buying, selling or leasing schools/community assets, and in retail leasing.

She obtained her real estate license in 2008, while employed as Business Development Manager at Intrawest, the largest developer and operator of resort properties in North America.  Since that time, Katie has earned business and executed upon real estate transactions in a multitude of facets.

Most notably, Katie has represented the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Denver in the disposition or leasing of under-utilized properties, specifically land and school buildings, associated with Bishop Machebeuf High School, Queen of Peace Catholic Parish and St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Parish, to name a few. Through Radian and RootED, she is also a consultant for start-up and established charter schools as they contemplate growth or relocation, and she represents public and private schools in real estate search, selection, leasing and disposition.

In addition to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Denver, some of Katie’s present and past clients include STEM Highlands Ranch (K-12), The French American School, KIPP Colorado, The Other Side Academy (TOSA), Denver Cooperative Preschool (DCP), Sewall Child Development Centers, Sola Salon Studios, Forest City Commercial Group, General Growth Properties, Fidelity Investments, Bloomin Brands, Rubio’s Coastal Grill, and Great Divide Brewing Company.

Her current work with Kin Commercial, representing mission-based non-profits and community contributors, has inspired Katie’s philanthropic involvement. She is a member of IMPACT 100, a collective giving organization granting over $200,000 each year to local non-profits. She is a Girl Scouts Troop Leader for her eight-year-old daughter’s troop, supporter of Boys Hope Girls Hope Colorado, Denver Kids, and the founder of an all-woman industry-based networking organization, SheBuilds.

Beyond Kin Commercial, Katie finds joy in growing alongside her daughter and their dog, Roasty Marshmallow. With her daughter, Katie is an avid alpine skier and in her free time, she competes in sprint triathlons.


Lisa Snead
Senior Vice President

Lisa Snead, who joined Kin Commercial in 2019, is licensed to practice real estate in Colorado. She is a deal-maker who, on behalf of institutional as well as local owners, has a knack for taking on large-scale leasing assignments and significantly improving tenancy and return on investment. On several occasions, Lisa has elevated an asset through execution of dramatic repositioning.

Lisa has dedicated her entire post-graduate life to retail real estate strategy. Thirty-five plus years of experience have enabled her to be thoughtful and succinct in her approach to proforma analysis, as well as development and implementation of merchandising plans. Currently, she is utilizing her knowledge of retail throughout the country - as well as her knowledge of landlord expectations - to represent tenants and landlords.

Through her tenure with Simon (2009-2016), the largest REIT in the world, she developed tenant relationships across the U.S. and Europe. She successfully executed 200,000 square feet of retail space, per year on average, at various super-regional and outlet/entertainment portfolio projects, with particular focus on Colorado Mills in Lakewood, CO, and Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise, FL (between Fort Lauderdale and Miami).

Previously, Lisa spent 10 years with The Mills Corporation as Group Vice President where in her ultimate role she managed a 12-person team to execute leasing for Madrid Xanadu, the first super-regional retail and leisure center developed by a U.S. REIT in Europe. Lisa has also had success with a variety of other retail projects including mixed use developments, regional malls and tourist destinations.

In her recent listing of Clayton Lane in Cherry Creek North, Lisa was recognized as a CoStar Power Broker for Q2 of 2022.

As an adventurer and aspiring artist, Lisa enjoys extensive travel throughout the world, having already visited 52 countries! After living in Washington DC, London, and Florida, Lisa planted roots in Denver in 2006. In her free time, she thrives on hot yoga and hiking. Her compassion for others is evident through her philanthropic dedication to organizations such as Warren Village, Metro Caring, Project Worthmore, and Impact100.


Tom Omdal
Senior Associate, Director of Account Management

Tom Omdal joins Kin Commercial as a licensed real estate associate assuming the role of Director of Account Management. Driven by his commitment to fostering positive change within his local community and supporting mission-minded organizations, Tom specializes in transactions involving schools, churches, and community assets.

He brings a depth of knowledge in all commercial transaction product types after having managed over 800 transactions associated with well-known firms such as CBRE, Charter Communications and Zayo Group. As a Transaction Manager with CBRE he assisted is overseeing the United States Postal Service real estate portfolio.

While earning his MBA with a concentration in project management, he was employed by his alma mater, Colorado Christian University (Lakewood, Colorado) where he worked in finance and accounting for six years.

Tom is a devoted family man who cherishes spending time with his wife, Chloe, and their four children. He also has a deep passion for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as skiing, snowboarding, and hiking.


Deb Stevens
Marketing Director

Contracted as DStrategic

Kin Commercial has partnered with Deb Stevens, the owner and lead strategist of DStrategic, for the marketing and strategic management of our company and client’s requirements.

Deb is an experienced business professional with 20 years of experience and expertise in creating and implementing marketing and branding strategies as well as creative campaigns for client requirements. Other areas of experience from her years in commercial real estate include business management, marketing, leasing and sales administration, property management, and appraisal.

Prior to DStrategic, Deb was the Operations & Marketing Director for 13 years at NAI Shames Makovsky, a full-service commercial real estate company in Denver, Colorado. Deb managed operations, processes, and personnel for the entire brokerage division. She also created an overall marketing platform for the company and a long-lasting brand within the community. Throughout her career, Deb has worked in strategic roles for several top-tier companies such as Trammell Crow Company, Frederick Ross Company (now Newmark), and NAI Global and an affiliate.

Deb loves helping others succeed. Her strengths focus on being a practical advisor, strategist, and problem-solver. Her work ethic and knowledge in marketing and operations is truly unique. Her greatest value to her clients is her ability to strategically mobilize a plan to tackle any task put in front of her.

Deb obtained a BBA in Real Estate and Public Administration from Baylor University. She plays an active role in the Baylor Alumni-Denver chapter and loves her Baylor Bears! When able, Deb likes to attend concerts, sporting events, and travel to new destinations to check off her bucket list.
